Rental Terms
[Rental product order/reservation completed]
Customers who rent from our store must read all of our rental terms and conditions and understand and agree to the following:
Your order and reservation will be confirmed once the order and payment procedures are completed.
[About the settlement date]
The payment date for rental items is the date when the order and payment procedures are completed. Please note that this is not the shipping date for the rental items. If you cancel your order after placing it, we will process a refund.
*If you choose cash on delivery, payment will be made upon delivery. (A separate cash on delivery fee will be charged.)
[About the start date of use]
The rental start date will be the arrival date of the rental item. Please select a date that is one to two days before the actual date of wearing the costume. You can select the "Delivery time slot" in the shopping cart.
[About your order email address]
Important notices, such as order confirmation emails and shipping notification emails, will be sent to the email address you registered when placing your order. If you have your email settings set to block emails, please make sure to set them to receive emails from our domain, "@tsukihana2020.com." Please be sure to register an email address that can be used to contact you for up to seven days after your order ends. If you do not receive an order confirmation email from us, please contact us by email at (info@tsukihana2020.com) with the name of the person who placed the order.
[About rental cancellations and changes]
If you cancel or change your rental order for your own reasons, a fee will be charged as follows:
<About canceling a rental order>
●Within 7 days of the order date: Free
From 8 days after the order date until the product is shipped: 50% of the order amount
●If the shipping procedure has already been completed: 100% of the order amount
*Shipping preparations will be completed three business days before the rental start date.
[Free cancellation period]
・The free cancellation period starts from the date and time of your order and runs until the same time on the 7th day.
(Example) If you place an order at 12:00 on October 1st, the free cancellation period is until 11:59 on October 7th.
<About changing the rental period>
●Up to 14 days before the rental start date: Free
●From 13 days before the rental start date until before the product shipping procedure: Change fee ¥2,200
● Shipping process completed: cannot be changed.
*Shipping preparations will be completed 3 business days before the product arrives.
*Only if there is availability during the rental period.
<About changing rental items>
●Within 7 days of the order date: Free
●From 8 days after the order date until 14 days before the rental start date: Change fee: ¥3,300
● From 13 days before the rental start date until before product shipping procedures: 50% of the order amount
●Shipping procedures have been completed: Changes cannot be made.
*Shipping preparations will be completed three business days before the rental start date.
*This applies only if there is availability for the product you wish to change to.
[Regarding areas not eligible for rental]
Our rental service is managed and operated on a set schedule.
Due to the difficulty in following our rental schedule flow in some areas, we are unable to accept rental orders from the following areas.
- Hokkaido | Rishiri District, Rebun District
- Tokyo | Aogashima Village, Ogasawara Village
- Nagasaki Prefecture | Tsushima City
- Kagoshima Prefecture | Amami City, Oshima County, Kagoshima County
- Okinawa Prefecture | Ishigaki City, Kitadaito Village, Kumejima Town, Minamidaito Village, Miyako District, Miyakojima City, Yaeyama District
- Outside Japan
If we receive an order from the affected area, we will inform you of the cancellation.
[Regarding returns and late payments]
Please be sure to complete the return procedure by the return date.
When returning the item, please use the Yamato Transport "cash on delivery slip" that was delivered with the rental item, request Yamato Transport to pick up the item, and then return it.
*Return shipping costs will be borne by our store.
If you intentionally miss the return deadline, you will be charged a late fee of 11,000 yen (tax included) per day.
* This does not apply to delays due to unforeseen circumstances or natural disasters. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible.
[Characteristics of vintage kimonos]
Our rental items are vintage kimonos that have been re-tailored. Therefore, there may be some stains or dirt on some of the items. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and consent in advance.
[About raising the waist and shoulders]
Please wear the garment without cutting the waist and shoulder threads.
Please refrain from threading the kimono yourself as this may cause damage.
If you adjust the waist or shoulders yourself, we will charge you ¥5,500 (tax included) per adjustment for re-sewing.
In addition, if damage occurs that is difficult to restore to its original condition, we will charge you an appropriate additional fee.
[About cleaning, stains, damage, and loss]
There is no need to clean it after use. If it gets dirty, please return it as is without washing it yourself.
For stains, damage, or loss that cannot be restored to their original state through regular cleaning, we will charge an appropriate additional fee.
Our rental items are made of pure silk kimonos, which are extremely delicate materials.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but please handle with care.
Please refrain from wearing this product outdoors in bad weather such as typhoons or heavy rain.
[Cancellation of rental contract]
If we determine that we are unable to deliver the ordered product due to unpredictable and unavoidable events such as natural disasters such as earthquakes or bad weather, or communication line failures, we may cancel the rental contract.
In addition, since our rental items are one-of-a-kind, if the item becomes unusable due to damage or loss caused by use by a previous customer, we may have to cancel the rental contract. In such cases, we will promptly notify you by email.
If the rental contract is terminated for the above reasons, we will cancel your order and refund the full amount.
【others】
There may be slight differences in the texture, color, and pattern of the fabric between the product photo and the actual product. This may also depend on your environment and the monitor you are using. We strive to make the images as close to the actual product as possible, but we ask for your understanding.

<Before revision>
The start date of use will be the arrival date of the rental item. Please select a date two days before the actual day you will wear the costume. We ship items to arrive in the morning, but there may be cases where they do not arrive in the morning due to road conditions, etc. This does not apply if you select a preferred delivery time.
